Battle Hymn of the Health Insurance Companies
(AKA Let’s Save The Status Quo)
(to the tune of Battle Hymn Of The Republic)
Rejoice and let us glory in the profits we attain
By rationing the remedies for suffering and pain.
And no one’s gonna mess with all our monetary gain.
Let’s save the status quo!
Chorus:
If our healthcare corporation
Never faces regulation,
We’ll be brimming with elation!
Let’s save the status quo!
We bought a bunch of senators and congresspeople too.
They serve our corporate interests and we tell them what to do.
This gravy train will stop the day a healthcare bill gets through.
Let’s save the status quo!
Chorus: If our healthcare corporation (etc.)
Our PR team is crackerjack. Were framing the debate!
Were spreading lots of lies and were unleashing lots of hate.
Well drive a stake into the bill the day it leaves the gate.
Let’s save the status quo!
Chorus: If our healthcare corporation (etc.)
A decent public option is an option we wont bear.
And Medicare for Everyone would kill our market share.
Well never win the game if all the rules are just and fair.
Let’s save the status quo!
Chorus: If our healthcare corporation (etc.)
In every other wealthy nation healthcare is a right.
But not here in America, no not without a fight!
Were fighting for the right to monstrous profits day and night.
Let’s save the status quo!
Chorus: If our healthcare corporation (etc.)

I love these guys. …
I love these guys. THIS is how satire is done! xD
Btw, I think that they got Geddy Lee (from Rush) to sing the male vocal part. Listen to that “LET’S SAVE THE STATUS QUUUUOOOOO!” at the end. o____o
Sad how some people …
Sad how some people don’t realize (or don’t care) that children have their own minds. They take advantage of their malleability to brainwash them into their way of life, never letting them learn all the facts and make the choice for themselves. By the time they are adults they are too close minded to even look at opinions other than the ones of their parents. I think generally both sides do this, but the rightists tend to take it further. Just my opinion really. Loved the video though. XD
both sides are …
both sides are Corporatists…Obamacare will just make the rich richer…
love it
love it
Obamacare does not …
Obamacare does not have anything to do with social health care. All it does is force those who do not have a PRIVATE HEALTHCARE INSURANCE POLICY to purchase one or face a GOV’T FINE for not having one. Calling Obamacare care a form of socialism is not being naive. The health care bill is just an extension of corporate control.
@independentview1 …
@independentview1 That comment is proof that you really don’t understand the system that you’re criticizing. Stop embarrassing yourself.
@PoliticsStudent …
@PoliticsStudent The majority of Fire Departments in America are volunteer and are under no obligation to do anything. That’s funny. Rationing is ethical. ‘So sorry, you are to old and not worth the money for you operation. Maybe if you make a donation to the right politician we can get you the operation.” Great ethics.
@independentview1 …
@independentview1 Not for an operation, for treatment. And no one is ever put at risk of dying. People have to wait for things like MRIs, not for surgery. Have you ever experienced either the British or Canadian system?
Rationing is a much more ethical approach than “those with money get service”. Can you imagine if the fire department was privatized? “Your house is on fire? Sorry, you don’t have money, and the rich person down the road wants their cat rescued from a tree. Too bad for you.”
@PoliticsStudent …
@PoliticsStudent The article didn’t say anything about “satisfied” it said people are waiting a year or more for an operation. The longer they are on the list the better chance they will die and the Government can save some money. I see. So because you like getting health care when the Government says you can, also if you can, everyone should be happy with that. You may not be capable of making decisions for yourself but others are capable of thinking.
@independentview1 …
@independentview1 So the other 98% of the citizens are satisfied?
I live in Canada. I have gone through the system for various reasons (both for myself, for friends, and for family) and I have never experienced problems.
@PoliticsStudent …
@PoliticsStudent London, the Daily Mail, when, ohhh, TODAY. An article on an investigation into Hospital waiting lists. “more than 2 per cent of patients waiting more than 12 months for treatment.” . From the Royal College of Surgeons, a link to check how long waiting lists at different hospitals. Socialist medicine sucks and is meant as a way for the Government to kill the poor.
@independentview1 …
@independentview1 I’m guessing you’ve never been to Britain or Canada. Also, I’m guessing you’ve never done any actual research on what the British and Canadian systems are like (they are different in a lot of ways).
No one with a life threatening condition ever has to wait. The only time you have to wait is for certain tests for non-life threatening conditions.
Billionaires are …
Billionaires are for government run health care because they stand to make a fortune transforming health care to a government run system. Get your facts straight sheeple. Look at all the bribes that demonrats had to make to pass the bill. The bribes will bankrupt us and we haven’t even started yet. Just to change the system over is going to cost billions. The demonrats are loving it because they are going to fill their pockets and decide who goes to what doctor. Why are you demonrats dictators?
There is a big …
There is a big difference betwwen the few who can’t afford Health Care, who already have Governmant programs they can go on, and the many who are to lazy and filled with entitlement disease to get there own.
How can you have a better chance in a system where the government can simply tell you that you can’t have the operation, your just not worth the money.
The US Government already turns down more requests for operations to be covered than any insurance company int he country.
bullshit you …
bullshit you wipe
See the looks on …
See the looks on those DUPES’ faces when the message …DOES NOT COMPUTE DOES NOT COMPUTE!! priceless!
NIce job by the Billionaires!
Exactly how does …
Exactly how does someone have a better chance of survival under a plan where a politician can tell them they are not legally allowed to get treatment?
Britian, Canada and other countries with Politician controlled Health Care if you are diagnosed with a disease you go on a waiting list until there is an appointment open or funding becomes available, usually the next fiscal year.
@independentview1
…
@independentview1
If that was the case (which it’s not, there’s a huge donor shortage), the people in the country with public healthcare have a much better chance of survival. They have the chance of free treatment and cheaper private healthcare.
If they can’t afford private healthcare and rely solely on public healthcare, then imagine how bad their situation would be in a country without it.
hahaha you …
hahaha you unamericans
I love this song
I love this song
TEA PARTY …
TEA PARTY DOUCHEBAGS!
If you guys have …
If you guys have ever studied Neil’s lyrics, you know where his influences in objectivism come from. I’m no disciple of anyone, but I’m running a congressional campaign that will be based on those same philosophies. I’d be much obliged if you’d all critique my video’s for my campaign.
PS I also put a few of my old guitar solo’s in there for you.
Thanks
